The present work describes the design of a Laboratory of Pneumatic Controls for Electricity and Electronics careers and the main technical considerations for its implementation in the future. The design is carried out to be a theoretical basis for the calculation of parameters in the realization of a laboratory of pneumatic controls for any institution or higher learning center. The sizing of all the pneumatic and electro-pneumatic components defined in laboratory practices that cover a complete curriculum of this subject is carried out to be able to satisfy the scarce number of specialized personnel in this branch in the Ecuadorian industry. The calculation of its main parameters is carried out and the dimensioning of the work tables is carried out with their adequate distribution in the space designated for the laboratory, the dimensioning of the compressor, and the storage tank. Similarly, based on the calculations of the actuators and pneumatic components, the parameters of the soundproof chamber for the compressor and its location are established. In addition, the design of the pipe network to be implemented and the electrical installation for it is carried out. The laboratory practices were created based on training plans for technical personnel who handle different industrial brands and consider different structural factors such as place, location, air consumption, and height of the city of Quito. The proposed electrical and pneumatic design is carried out based on the ISO 9001 standard, so that it complies with the essential technical regulations for this type of laboratory, and is both technically and economically of interest and feasibility in its implementation.
