Analysis of the effect of the parameters within the model for the estimation of the Return on Investment for business process automation projects with the application of RPA technology

The continuous acceleration of digital transformation strategies of companies globally and the increase in the wide scale business process automation capabilities require the development of new mechanisms that increase the efficiency and the optimization of automation. The RPA technology, as one of the most widely used due to its application characteristics, scope and flexibility, has significantly accelerated the efficiency of automation and has become one of the main technologies for short time projects. Therefore, it became important to focus on the search of new ways to optimize the effects that this type of technology allows companies to achieve. In the present study is proposed a model that involves the main variables taking part in the life cycle of RPA solutions, that allows calculating the return on investment considering the variations during the development and application of the automation solutions. The model also allows establishing the criteria to maximize the effect of the automation projects to be considered in the initial stages of analysis and design for the robotization.
